Padmavati’s Trailer Leaves Us Craving For More


One of the sublime storytellers of India, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who stands at the peak with his films namely Devdas, Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela: Goliyon Ki Raasleela is widening his wings with his yet another stupendous tale ‘Padmavati’ which unfolds the anecdote of Rani Padmini, a queen who was a Hindu Rajput by origin. Bhansali, in his forthcoming cinematographic account erupts the story of Allauddin Khilji and his obsession for the Hindu queen. The film is basically a theatrical adaption of ‘Padmavat’, a legendary poem by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, where the tale of Khilji and Padmini finds it’s maiden mention. The movie has been penned by Bhansali himself alongside with Prakash Kapadia.

The movie stars the real life glamorous couple of Ranveer Singh and diva Deepika Padukone, who were previously paired along in Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani also, in other mentions Shahid Kapoor is also an integral member of the movie. Ranveer would be portraying Alauddin Khilji, and on the other hand, Padukone would be seen flaunting her jewels as Padmavati. The trailer of the epic motion picture went out on 9th of October and it has already left us wondering what’s yet to come?

The trailer narrates the upcoming tale in the most splendid fashion, with Bhansali’s seal of utterly dramatic sequences, the tale has poured us into the period of Khijli and the Rajputs. With the honesty of her character Padukone is firm and iterates her ceaseless spell of unblemished deliverance, furthermore Ranveer is more formidable than ever, with his unalloyed sense of morality he digs out Khilji out of his grave and gives us what we crave for. Shahid Kapoor brings the cat of the bag with his immortal magic delivering Ratna Singh, Padmini’s spouse. The story is said to uncover the myths and the legends of how the perpetual tale of the married couple was threatened by Khilji and would pull the curtains up from what we don’t know. The trio simply makes other famous tales look like pariah and the grandeur of Bhansali’s flawless craftsmanship makes the legendary tale relive in our period.
