Coke Studio, which is Pakistan’s biggest music platform brings back incredible surprises for us with their return. The first one being their newest segment, Coke Studio Explorer. Co-producers of Coke Studio season 11, Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi go on a journey to explore the cultural diversities across Pakistan. During the course of their journey, Coke Studio producers have found some talented individuals with an unbelievable ability and an unparalleled devotion to music.
Coke Studio, Pakistan’s brand new segment will come a new trend of audio and visual identity and feature incredible talented across the country. With the desire to uncover this talent, the producers whip with the ingenious use of technology and being us a promising segment full of sweet audio and visual treat.
Not only has the platform become an enabler for newly discovered and potential aspiring musicians, but their new segment will be the first music platform to give their viewers a taste of cultural voyage. However, none of this was easy for the two producers as something unexpected happened:
“Everyone has heard about festivals in Kalash,” says Kazi. “We went when it was really cold and we were in the middle of producing the season as well. We took some time out and went there. It was snowing and had we been a day or so late, it probably wouldn’t have happened. And people will get to experience all that in the videos. We said to ourselves that it is important to capture them,” said Kazi.
“Pieces of the puzzle suddenly came together. There were beautiful accidents,” Hamza further concluded.
Coke Studio Explorer will be launching on the 3rd of July, 2018 and has many enthusiats excited. Meanwhile, let’s take a peek at some of the amazing talents they discovered:
From Muzaffarabad: The ‘Qasamir’
The producers met Altaf Mir, the force behind the soft vocals of Qasamir.
From the beautiful valleys of Kalash: Ariana (Farsi Gul) and Amrina.
They aspire to become like their pop-music idol Ariana Grande.
From Sindh: Siblings Shamu Bai and Vishnu
While Shamu has been has been showcasing her vocal ability since she was only seven, Vishnu is fourteen and will be the youngest artist to make his debut on Coke Studio this year.
The final artist is a Pakistani who was raised in Toronto and is a social media sensation with an incredible singing voice. The Instagram star who has captured the imagination of fans with her singing and songwriting skills.
