On Monday, Pakistani singer and activist Fakhr-e-Alam revealed that he is currently being detained at the Russian airport. The singer was held bound as soon as he landed at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport for his venture of “Mission Parwaz“.
Pakistani Actor Faysal Quraishi, on Alam’s request, posted a message on his behalf on Facebook. The post read:
“Message from Fakhr-e-Alam. Bro, please tweet on my behalf. I am being detained at Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport because my visa expired two hours and date changed.”
“They are forcing me to turn back to Japan. I cannot go to Japan because I had a single entry visa. I appeal to the Pakistan government to request Russian government to allow me to continue my journey to Alaska,” the post further said.

According to the message, Fakhr-e-Alam’s Russian visa expired just two hours before he landed on the Russian airport, and he was therefore detained by the authorities. He also added that since he does not have the visa for Japan (the country he flew to Russia from), he is stuck at the airport without food and water.
Journalist Syed Raza Mehdi also shared the post and asked the Pakistani government for assistance.

Fakhr-e-Alam shared his dream of flying an aircraft and being the first Pakistani to drive around the globe with only 100 hours of air-experience. He titled his dream as “Mission Parwaaz”, and earlier revealed his schedule to the fans on his Twitter.
Alam’s 28-day tour kicked off in Clearwater, Florida on October 10. From there, the 42-year-old flew to Boston, then Canada and further to Greenland.
From Greenland, Alam flew to Iceland, United Kingdom, Egypt, Bahrain and then to Dubai.
From Dubai, the activist flew to Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. From there, he further flew to Dhaka, Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta and then Darwin in Australia. From Australia, he made his way to Japan and then Russia where he is currently detained.
Alam’s last video message to his fans was uploaded on Twitter while he was in Japan.

Other countries where Alam has planned to make a stop included Philippines, Taiwan, South Japan, North Japan, the Pacific Bay, Russia and Alaska and then back to the US, which would conclude his tour.
