Farhad Humayun is one of the most renowned singers of the Pakistani music industry and has been making waves with his music. The singer has come a long way in his illustrious career and plans to provide more distinct music to his fans in hopes of reviving forgotten music. Recently, the singer along with other talents teamed up to produce a song that not only gave us immense nostalgia but took us on a rollercoaster ride to the 70’s bombastic music. After waiting for months, the Farhad Humayun has officially released Kambakht and it’s more than what we expected!
Last year Farhad Humayun of Overload had announced that he would be releasing his first solo album, Mera Naam that included approximately ten tracts with producer Darmad Ghafoor. After releasing his Urdu single, ‘Mur Ke Dekho’ Farhad Humayun released a new song called Kambakht. With a vibrant and nostalgic setting, Farhad and Faiza Mujahid’s voice blend in the visuals so smoothly that the song is a win in our book!
When asked about the song in an interview, Farhad Humayun stated: “Kambakht is a song about anyone trying to make it big against all odds and negativity. It’s about the conviction that YOU are special and can do anything. It shows the humorous side of me as an artist in a way I haven’t shown before.”
The amazing part is that the lyrics have been written by his friend Hamza Ali Abbasi! While Hamza crafted the words, Farhad Humayun played all the instruments on the disco-inspired song.
“It is inspired by the early days of disco and Clint Eastwood movie scores,” he stated.
“A wonderful cast of enthusiastic friends and professionals added color, authenticity, and individuality. Haiya Bokhari has done a fantastic job at styling. I’m really happy about this.” Farhad concluded.
We certainly couldn’t keep our excitement in after listening to the song. What about you? Let us know in the comments below!
