We are living a world that is changing on every day basis and new innovations are made daily, the role of science and technology could not be undermined. We need to follow through the advancements that are being made in science to make sure that we keep evolving with the world.
Emphasizing on this need a two day workshop is being held on “Leaders in Science and Innovation Policy” which would be led by globally known speakers, expert faculty and top leading national figures. The speakers would be covering to pics regarding science, technology and every day advancements that are changing our lives drastically.
The main purpose of this workshop is to enlighten the need of science in our lives and how we could get the most of it. Several ideas would be shared and the speakers would put light on how we need an innovative policy regarding science to open doors towards new possibilities.
The topics that are going to be the discussed at the workshop are the following

- Communicating Science to the Policymakers.
The workshop aims to redefine the roles of universities and emphasize that how there is an alarming need to encourage new leaders and how science plays part in the academic building of students and the entire society. The challenges we face today could be solved by means of science and technology, new ways are needed to be introduced to fight against our issues and how we could redefine the dynamics of our ideas. The workshop focuses on the fact how we need to promote the culture of entrepreneurship including the role of government in the development of science. It aims to provide an overview regarding the formation of state of the art labs to practice the experiments that are essential to carry out scientific research. Workshop also emphasizes on how the distance between people and the science has been totally changed and how science has been the bridge between human interactions.
The distinguished speakers include Ehsan Masood, who is a London based science and innovation policy journalism and the 2017/18 Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT. He has been the editor and writer for the journal Nature and has taught Science Policy and Communication at Imperial College, London.
The panel also includes Dr. Athar Osama is a member of the Planning Commission Government of Pakistan responsible for S&T, ICT, and HEC. He is also the founder of Pakistan Innovation Foundation (PIF), a fellow of World Technology Network (WTN) and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The workshop would be happening at National Incubation Center Islamabad on 1st October and 2nd October, 2018. . All the professors, government officers, deans and everyone who is somehow related to science should be there on this workshop so they could make the most of it. This workshop is one of it’s kind and would definitely help us to have better understanding of science and the changes that are being caused by technology.
