The trend of a festive desi wedding not a new concept in Pakistani culture. Recently, Parwaaz hai Junoon’s song ‘Naache Re’ released as ‘The wedding song of the season’, however it looks like the song now has competition because the makers of Load Wedding released their version of the shaadi song yesterday. The song features Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat who break into a bhagra dance performance at a typical Punjabi mehndi function and we’re swooning!
Munday Lahore De which is sung by the talented Mohsin Abbas Haider and Saima Jehan, comes forward with catchy folk music that doesn’t leave a lasting impression but the colorful video, festive outfits and incredible dance performances guarantee a successful music video.
Fahad’s entry in the song proves to be a charm. His moves combined with his flirty but sweet expressions prove that he’s the best fit for the role of a Punjabi lover boy. Mehwish doesn’t lose to the competition either as she flawlessly dances iconic moves with striking facial expressions.
Munday Lahore De also succeeds in leaving no stones unturned with the flawless details. From portraying the Punjabi culture to the colorful theme that is evident in mehndis, festivals, and folk dances, the song has managed to capture it all in a smooth sequence. Even the dance steps performed by Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat perfecfly blend with the surroundings.
Besides the fact that Mehwish and Fahad are one of the most favorite on-screen couple, the pairing never gets old.
As much as we don’t want to say anything about the film yet, Nabeel Qureshi and Fiza Ali Meerza’s upcoming Load Wedding seems to be no less of a blockbuster. The film is scheduled to release on Eid ul Azha and will be competing against Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2 and Parwaaz Hai Junoon for the best movie of the holidays. The film is slated for an Eid ul Azha release and we can’t wait!
