No More Strings Attached To Coke Studio
Coke Studio has a massive fan base in Pakistan and beyond the borders; every year the musical TV show makes headlines and gifts us many melodies which are hard to forget. Coke Studio has given us number of emerging artists and the revamped versions of Pakistani classics.
The segment was initiated in 2008 by the Coca Cola Pakistan and was produced by Rohail Hyatt, but in 2014 after 6 successful seasons; the production was shifted to the Pakistani pop duo band Strings consisting of Faisal Kapadia and Anwer Maqsood’s son Bilal Maqsood, they too had a great journey producing all 3 seasons until now including the latest Season 10th which marked a decade of Coke Studio.
Unfortunately the 10th segment wasn’t able to satisfy the music critics and the public, after hitting a great low of confusing the melodies in the latest season, Strings have announced that they won’t be producing the famous musical show. This marks an end Strings journey of Coke Studio, although the band of two would continue making the music for their own label=
Strings have given us many super hit tracks from thee CS and from their own albums too. It was a great work from the duo for the Studio, but it seems like that it’s a lot more for Coke Studio to discover and probably they ‘d give a chance to some other music composers to fulfill the vacuum that has been left by Strings.
Best of luck to Bilal and Faisal for their upcoming ventures and we are affirmative that they would keep entertaining us in their professional capacities.
