The most-anticipated trailer for Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan’s upcoming extravaganza is officially here. Thugs of Hindostan is packed with thriller, bearing a punch that hasn’t been seen in Bollywood for quite some time. Especially since Indian TV series like Hatim and Shakalaka Boom Boom ceased airing. Now, it looks like the Indian film industry is back to impress its fans with an action-filled story that will be remembered for a very long time.
According to the trailer, Thugs of Hindostan will take us back to 1795 where the British ruled India. The teaser is packed with a The Pirates of the Carribean feel to it – judging by Aamir Khna’s person and how a band of thugs is making life difficult for the British colonialists. Not only that, but the viewers are surprised with the century’s old vibe – British with their guns and firepower. The story reveals Amitabh’s character Khudabaksh, also called Azad – who leads the Indians to fight for freedom in their own pirated way.
Then there’s Firangi Mallah who is played by Aamir Khan. Firangi not only seems to be a two-timing sharp-minded character, but he also looks to be the much-needed element for stirring up the fight between the British and the ‘Hindostani Thugs’.
The audience is left to guess if Firangi will get a change of heart and switch sides, or will be side with the British as their underdog?
The next best thing in the film is Katrina Kaif’s avatar, who seems to be fleeing something, as per the trailer. However, the tight slap is what most viewers are curious about!
