The official trailer for the next installment of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe is here, and from the looks of it, Captain Marvel seems like it will be better than the last movies.
Spoilers Alert if You Haven’t Seen Avengers: Infinity War
There has been a lot of speculations ever since Avengers: Infinity War was released. The film showed some end-credit scenes where we saw Nick Fury send out a message via a pager before the iconic character turns to dust. Before the end credits scene ends, we see a glimpse of the pager’s screen, which showed Captain Marvel’s trademark logo.
So, earlier this month, the Entertainment Weekly ran a promotion on the film which showed Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) aka Captain Marvel in her costume for the first time. The feature explained some of the details on the film. It explained that Danvers will already have her powers and that this will most probably not be an origin story of Captain Marvel. The feature also confirmed that she will run into Lee Pace’s Ronan (first seen in Guardians of the Galaxy), and a younger Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg). The 1990s set film will also feature Danvers’ time as a pilot for the US Air Force.

The biggest secret that we will have to wait for is to see how Captain Marvel will explore Danvers’ past. As shown in the trailer below – Captain Marvel comes back to Earth and that seems to stir up some memories, and there are a bunch of scenes of her childhood and basic training, which help inform the hero she will become.
We definitely can’t wait for the next installment of Marvel Universe. Especially when at the end of the trailer, the hero lights of in a red firey trance. We also might find out some clues about the continuation of Avengers: Infinity War’s ending.
Captain Marvel will hit theaters on the 8th of March, 2019.
